Memebox #56 ~ K-Style 4

Hey guys, sorry for the major lack of posts recently. I've been super occupied with College and work, but the main reason is I've just been lacking a little inspiration. But, after taking some time away from blogging I'm back full of ideas and things I'm excited to write about. I just hope everyone hasn't forgotten about me >.<

I have been meaning to write this 'review' or unboxing for a while, but on the plus side I've had a good chance to test all the products and find which ones I really love, and which ones I don't. This was my first ever Memebox, I took so long deciding which one to get! I like the idea of these beauty boxes a lot, and the fact you have a selection of boxes to choose from sets Memebox apart from other brands. But I'm always hesitant I won't like the products inside, and I'll feel like I wasted my money.

Luckily, I got the chance to try one out for free after winning a giveaway, so without further ado here's my review of the #56 Memebox.

1. Revecen Volumising Mascara
Double the volume of your lashes with the Revecen Volumising Mascara. It's completely waterproof, smudgeproof, paraben free, and made from naturally derived vegetable wax, vitamin, allantoin, collagen and vegetable squalane.

Honestly I wasn't incredibly impressed by this mascara, though I will still use it for sure. The packaging looks expensive and it's surprisingly heavy, I hoped that the quality of the packaging would reflect the product inside but unfortunately it didn't quite meet my expectations. The wand is nice, it has a curved brush so you can get right into the roots of your eyelashes, but the formula just didn't do that much for my lashes. I wouldn't say it was volumising in the slightest, it only added a little length. However, it was waterproof and lasted all day without smudging, so even if it takes a lot of coats for me to be satisfied, it is worth putting it on.

2. Shara Shara Petit Friend Matte Lip Crayon
This auto-type lip crayon glides smoothly onto the lips, leaving a highly moist and supple yet soft and silky finish. The colour ranges from natural nudy pink to hot, savvy shades for featuring a signature lip makeup.

It's just coincidence that the first two products on the list are ones I didn't like, I promise this whole post won't be a negative review>,< But this is the product that disappointed me the most, purely because it broke before I could even test it. All I did was take the cap off, but the whole lip crayon came with it and got stuck in the lid. I tried really hard to get it out but eventually I just got frustrated and threw it away - that's why I don't have a picture! Sorry I can't give a better review, I don't know if it was just my one that was faulty, but either way I'm not going to repurchase it haha.

3. Shara Shara Triple Shine Colour Shadow
A baked type, silky textured shadow palette offering 3 shades of a colour that helps create naturally blended eye makeup. For instance 04 White Pink contains a white base colour, a lighter pink for graduation, and a darker pink for point makeup. The shadow is also infused fine pearls that adheres well for a long lasting, silky finish.

Because this was the same brand as the lip crayon I was very careful opening this product, in fear of it breaking. Thankfully it didn't, and I'm glad because I actually quite like this little palette. It's pretty small, but the colours are super shimmery. I got 04 White Pink like in the description, which I'm chuffed about because that's the one that caught my eye. The colour payoff it really not bad, and although I haven't used all three colours together, they are really pretty as base shades, and the white is a super cute highlight colour. I didn't notice any creasing when I wore it either so overall I'm pretty impressed!

4, Revecen Face Control Foundation #002 Violet
This unique face control foundation works to cover up skin imperfections and control dull yellow skin tone for a more refined, evenly balanced, and healthier looking finish to with base makeup. Plus, it contains natural preservatives such as green tea extracts and magnolia extracts, and thus gentle and suitable for all skin types.

I like the idea of this product, and I've used things with a similar concept, but sadly this made basically no difference to my skin. I don't know if my complexion isn't yellow enough to need correcting, but I saw no improvement to my skin, and I tried this multiple times putting on different amounts. Plus, it's quite hard to apply because it's like a solid foundation - it doesn't spread over the skin very well either.

5. Beauty People Miss 100 Auto Gel Pencil Liner
Feature a sophisticated point eye makeup with Beauty People's gel liner pencils that come in 3 delicate pearl shades - coral, bronze and brown - and can be used as both a liner and a shadow. They're auto type liners that easily glides onto your eyelids, making them easy to use even for makeup beginners. Plus, there's an eye liner sharpener attached on the end for your convenience.

Now this is by far my favourite product in the box. I literally used this everyday for three weeks I like it so much. I received the 'Gleam Brown' shade, which was great because I've been searching for a good dark brown eyeliner for more natural looks. Basically this is literally one of the best eye pencils I have used. It stays on all day, with no smudging at all, and it applies like a dream. The colour is pigmented and has a little shimmer in it which is super pretty but subtle on the eyes. My only tiny quarrel is that it's a twist up pencil, which although is practical, means you loose the sharp point when you twist it. This just makes application a little more awkward, mainly because it's hard to get a sharp cat eye when the end of the liner is rounded. But that doesn't deter me from using it, and I'm definitely going to look for more colours of this eyeliner!

6. IdeeB Real Triple Rouge 02 Shine Pink
Plump up dry, chapped lips with the all in one Real Triple Rouge that combines the functions of a lipstick, a lip tint and a lip gloss in a single item. It adheres tightly onto lips without dehydrating and creates a shiny suppleness and a long last radiance.

And finally another item that I fell in love with. I really wasn't expecting the pigmentation of this products to be so good, but it's super vibrant. Because it has elements of a lipgloss, the formula keeps your lips moisturised all day long, and the colour stays too. The packaging is super cute, and it's kind of a coral colour which I think would suit a lot of skin tones. I genuinely have no complaints with this product, it's really good and I plan to research the brand a little more in light of this Memebox!

Innisfree Olive Real Cleansing Oil Review

Sorry for the lack of posts recently everyone, I've just been real busy with College and work~ I'm sure most of you know how it is! ^^ Today I wanted to review a new addition to my skincare routine, the Olive Oil Cleanser from Innisfree. I have been looking for a good oil cleanser for a while, and this is the best one I have tried so far~ and it was really affordable as well so I think I will stick with it for a while!

Since winter is coming, I wanted to change up my skincare routine a little, mainly to find some more moisturising products so my skin doesn't get dry. Oil cleansers are good because they are the best way to get rid of all your makeup, as well as any sebum or impurities in your skin. But they also will not dry out your skin and can be used by all skin types, even sensitive skin won't be irritated by most oil cleansers. I use it as a cleanser every evening, and although this product alone is probably enough, I still like to use my Laneige foaming cleanser afterwards to just remove any residue.

This Innisfree cleanser is made with good quality extra virgin olive oil, which can help protect your skin from UV. It's known for being very moisturising, and even though I haven't had it for long I already noticed how soft my skin feels.

The way to use it is firstly spreading a small amount of product all over your face before getting it wet. I take off my makeup with a wipe first though, so most of my makeup is gone. After massaging it in, dampen your hands slightly and continue to massage the oil. Then wash it off with warm water.

After using this product for a few weeks I can already see a noticeable difference in the softness of my skin which I really like. I also find with my new skincare routine, I haven't had any pimples for a while, which I believe is down to me taking off my makeup properly. Not only that, but it feels really nice to apply the oil and massage it in, and it just smells like olive oil, which I personally quite enjoy!

I'm really impressed by the quality of this oil because I only paid about £10 for it. I would really recommend it to anyone looking for a good cleanser especially during winter. Let me know in the comments if you've ever tried out this product, or another oil cleanser~ Thanks for reading! ^^

Five Fall Fashion Trends 2014

I haven't written a proper 'fashion' post in a while, so I thought it was about time since the fall weather has started to make an appearance~ at least here in the UK. I've picked out five of my favourite trends for this season, and I wanted to share them with you all, perhaps give some of you a little inspiration for what to buy for fall. BUT please keep in mind this is a list of things I would wear, it is of course driven by current industry trends, however I'm no expert~ this is just me expressing how I would interpret some of the Autumn trends. I hope you all enjoy this post, let me know what you think in the comments, and what your favourite fashion to wear for fall?

1. Oversized

This is a personal favourite of mine since I have no motivation to exercise properly in the cold weather haha. Oversized clothing is super forgiving and if do right can look so cute. In some cities like London it's more popular to wear it in a 'chic' way, but in other places like Korea for example, looking cute and cosy is more popular. Here are a few pictures which will hopefully explain what I mean:

2. Gold

At first glance it seems like it would take a lot of courage to wear metallic clothing, but when I see it outside of the catwalk, I want to try it more myself! Wearing too much or certain pieces can look a little tacky so I think it's important to be sparing. I picked out a few examples that I like, but I know this look isn't for everyone~

3. Turtlenecks

Nothing says cosy like a nice knitted turtleneck, though I don't think it will suit everyone. For me, I don't like to wear chunky turtlenecks but instead maybe a thinner, ribbed top underneath something else. Layering is a must in cold weather so I think a top like this should be an essential in every fall wardrobe.

4. Army Print

Camouflage and khaki will always be a great thing to wear in this season (in my opinion) because there are so many opportunities to incorporate it into an outfit. Personally I love jackets and coats like this, partly because it's so easy to combine with the oversized trend I mentioned earlier. Like everything I know some people won't be as keen on this, but unfortunately for them I'll be working it all winter haha.

5. Nordic

Anything fairisle printed or Aztec patterned, especially in a cute knitted jumper is the best thing to wear if you want to look cosy and a little festive when it comes to Christmas time. I don't think many people can disagree that these patterns scream winter, and it's so wearble even with just jeans and trainers it looks cute.

Beauty Blogger Tag!

I got nominated by my good friend Mindy from the blog Welcome Home to do this beauty blogger tag! Please go and check out her blog because she is so nice and cute and her posts are really great as well^^ I don't really consider myself a beauty blogger because I'm not that great at makeup and reviews, but I do have a lot of interest in the area so I thought it'd be fun to answer these questions since I haven't really addressed a lot of  these areas on my blog before! I hope you enjoy reading the answers, I'd love to hear some of your responses to some questions in the comments too(:

Getting to know you
Post 3 random facts about you:

  • I am a really clumsy person, I fall over a lot and always embarrass myself by like walking into things*-*
  • I like my job a lot but mostly because I like the clothes we sell and I can shop for myself while I work lol
  • I have quite a girly and cute style but I hate romantic and sad films, I would much rather watch an adventure or an action film

Here are the tag questions

What country do you live in?
-  England

☆ What's the meaning behind the name of your blog?
- Literally it's my name, my first name is Emily and my middle name Marysia (which is Polish) ~ My surname is Thomas but that sounds horrible so I used my middle name instead. =^-^=

☆ Why did you start blogging?
-  I don't have any friends who have the same interests as me, so I wanted a way to express what I like away from them, because I was always embarrassed that people would think I was weird~ but the internet is a good way to stay pretty anonymous at first.

☆ Makeup

☆ If you could live off one foundation which one would it be?
- I would pick BB cream over foundation anyday, but my most used foundation is the Bourgeois Healthy mix one because it's quite light and I like the finish a lot.

☆ What's the most expensive thing you've ever bought?
- Probably the Naked 2 eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay.

☆ Which product have you repurchased the most?
Maybelline's fit me concealer is my absolute favourite, it's so good and I've bought it like two or three times now - the colour matches even my pale skin and the coverage is really great!
☆ Smokey and Sexy, Girl Next Door or Bright and Bold?
 - Girl next door for me, I can't pull of anything sexy or bold at all hahaha

☆ Biggest Blogger/ Youtuber Inspiration?
- I don't know if it counts but the Korean makeup artist Pony makes amazing makeup tutorials on Youtube, I get really inspired with makeup looks and techniques from her videos.

☆ Drugstore or High End?
- I buy most of my makeup from  Korean and Western drugstore brands, I have very little high end makeup because I can find products I like in these places.

☆ Bronzer or Blusher?
-  I can go without either, but I use blusher more, I only recently got into using bronzer so I'm not very good at it-_-

☆ Skincare

☆ How many times a day do you wash your face?
- Twice a day, unless I take my makeup off halfway through the day in which case three times.

☆ Biggest Skin Struggle?
- I used to be really self conscious about the fact I get a little bit oily on my T zone if I wear makeup for a long time, but I don't really worry about it too much anymore~ besides the odd pimple I don't think I have anything I really hate about my skin.

☆ What's your favorite way to pamper your skin?
- Sheet masks! :D

☆ What's your skincare routine?
- I wash my face with a Laneige deep pore cleanser, then I use the Etude House Wonder Pore Toner, the first essence serum from Etude House as well and then a Nivea moisturiser in the morning and a sleeping pack at night

☆ Are you confident to go without makeup?
- Not really, I can happily go out with natural makeup like no eyeliner or foundation but I always feel gross if I go out with nothing on at all, unless it's somewhere I really don't care about like walking my dog in the village.

☆ Hair

☆ Favourite hair product?
- Probably the Head and Shoulders apple shampoo :p

☆ First day hair or second day hair?
I like first day hair so much more, I often wear a hat after two or three days because it can be all over the place unless I have time to style it.

☆ How many times have you dyed your hair?
 - I dip dyed my hair green two years ago, and then I had the ends bleached for about a year until I cut my hair short. But I never dyed my whole head because I'm too scared!

☆ Fashion

☆ Neutral or Bright Colours?
- I like bright colours at parties or in the summer but I'm usually a pastel/neutral girl.

☆ Winter or Summer Fashion?
Winter because I don't have to show as much skin haha, and it's always more cosy than summer stuff.

☆ Jeans, Shorts, Skirts or Dresses?
- I love skirts and skorts the most, but I do wear jeans a lot to college because they're comfy. Given the choice though I really love to wear a pretty skirt.

That's all the questions, so thank you again to Mindy for the nominations! ^^ Most of the bloggers I would have nominated have already done this tag so I will just say to anyone who wants to answer them, I nominate you all even if you're not a beauty blogger and just like makeup! If you do it send me a link because I would like to read them. ^^ x

Gift Swap With Mindy (MyMyChen) ^^

Recently I was talking with Mindy, a friend of mine from the blog Welcome Home, (please go and check it out because her posts are so cute and she's so sweet as well^^) and we decided to do a package exchange with eachother! I really like getting post and parcels so you can imagine how excited I was when it arrived, I couldn't contain myself haha>.< But I was blown away with how thoughtful and cute all the items she picked out were, we've never met but I feel like she knows me well~ I'm so so thankful and happy that I have a friend I can swap gifts with, thank you so much Mindy!

We already agreed we would both blog about it, and so I'm just going to go through some of the things I received and why I like them hehe~ Hopefully this will be interesting for you all to read, if you like Asian makeup/beauty products then stick around! Thanks for reading^^

This is what the box looked like before and after I opened it, isn't the wrapping so cute?

My Beauty Diary sheet masks - there are so many of these! I already used one and it was so nice, I like to use sheet masks but I don't usually buy them for myself, so it was so good to have some I can treat myself with^^ I always wanted to try this brand as well which is a plus!

3 Concept Eyes Back to Baby BB Cream and Lip Pigment in #Brightorange - I don't think it's a secret that I really like 3CE makeup, but I was surprised that she put in two of the products I most wanted to buy. I mentioned a while ago in a post that I planned to get the BB cream but I didn't, and I'm so happy that I have it now! The lip pigment as well is in the colour that I liked the most so I don't know how she knew that>.<

Selection of sweets and chocolate from Hong Kong - I'm so jealous that Mindy went on holiday to Hong Kong but I'm happy because it meant that I get to try some yummy sweets! I already ate some and they're so good, I really enjoyed the little chocolates with gummies inside^^

Etude House eyeshadows and eye primer - Another brand I love is Etude House, but I've never tried the eyeshadows from there~ I am in love with the colours that Mindy sent me, the brown especially is so pretty and I'm using it everyday^^ I haven't tested the primer yet but I've heard great things so I'm  excited about that!

Runway Bandits Haul and Review

Today I'm going to share with you all my experience with Singapore based online shop, Runway Bandits. I've never ordered from them before, but the clothes are so pretty and cool I couldn't resist getting a few things! Because of the location, shipping costs were a little higher that I'm used to since I don't often order clothing from abroad~ but it definitely wasn't unreasonable and honestly I was expecting worse. However the individual items were very very affordable, I ended up paying forty pounds for four things all of which I was happy with^^

The best part however is that my order arrived in just six days after I placed it even though it came from Singapore. I had a tracking number and even after paying a small customs fee (which was not the fault of the company) it came so much quicker than I thought.

Here's some pictures of what I bought, and how it looks on. Luckily everything fitted me perfectly and is just how I wanted it to be! (:

This skort is probably my favourite item that I ordered, it's so pretty and the quality is really good as well. I was worried that the length would be too long, but it's pretty short which is good for me because I'm only little. I really like the idea of skorts because it feels much more secure hehe^^

Buy Here for S$24.50 or £13.20

I had to cover my face in this picture because all my other expressions were horrific haha. I got fed up taking pictures so I just left it like this>.< But you can still see the clothes I think. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the price of the set includes both the shorts and top because I thought I'd have to pay separately, but they come together which makes the price even better! I could happily wear these items together or on their own because they're both super cute^^ I think I like the crop top the best though, it looks so pretty with just jeans or a basic skirt.

Buy Here for S$24.50 or £13.20

This shirt is just a plain white shirt which I needed because I stained the other one that I had-_- But I like this one because it has a boxy shape and it's pretty sheer. I like to wear baggy shirts on casual days and since this one has a little collar I think it'll be nice to keep layering it throughout autumn/winter.

July Beauty Favourites~

July has been a super busy and exciting month for me, usually my summer holidays are pretty dull and uneventful but this year it's been great so far! However even in the midst of all the madness I've managed to try out a few new products that I'm really excited to share with you guys^^ They're all beauty related, but I do plan to write a couple of haul posts for some fashion items that I purchased over the last month. I hope that you all enjoy this post, and let me know which products are your favourites this month in the comments!

Baviphat Apple Sleeping Pack
First up is a product that got sent to me by the lovely Sarah from Littlemissdreamer when I won her giveaway a little while ago. I didn't start using it properly until now because I wanted to use up my last sleeping pack first. I love this stuff much more than my other ones though, first of all the smell is amazing, apple scents are my favourite anyway but this smells so good I can't even tell you! But I also noticed that my skin feels very soft and looks bright when I wake up, over time I think that it's definitely improving my skin's condition^^

W7 Nail Polish - No Name
I picked this nail polish up while I was rushing around the sale at work last week, they'd been reduced to a pound and I'd heard they were quite good so I just grabbed one without my thought. But the colour is so gorgeous and perfect for summer, it's like a slightly neon lemon yellow which makes your hands look more tanned and goes well with most other colours whatever outfit you wear! It does need two coats though, but then most polishes do.

Revlon Colourburst - Coquette and Audacious
Next up are these lip balms that I bought in Superdrug, they were on offer so I bought two for about £8 which is pretty good for Revlon products. They are different formulas though, the shiny pink one is much more sheer and more like a lip balm, and the orange one is much more matte and pigmented. I think I prefer the orange because the colour is more vivid and statement. However, both are very long lasting and the colours are nice, I know many people prefer more sheer products for everyday looks^^

Soap and Glory Mist You Madly Spray
I never used to be good at remembering to pack a nice spray or perfume in my bag, and I always regretted it because smelling good is important right? I hate putting glass bottles in my bag because they're heavy and I'm scared they'll break and leak. But this one is the perfect size and comes in a plastic spritzer, plus it smells delicious! I'm usually a big fan of Soap and Glory products, especially the bath and body stuff because the scents are always so nice.

3CE Cream Blushers - Baby Peach
I got this item really cheap on Depop from a local seller, the box is a little grubby but it's still a full sized unopened product so I think I scored with this one haha. The colour is a light peach and it looks so gorgeous on a pale skin tone, plus it'll last me forever due to the high pigmentation. As always I'm a huge 3 Concept Eyes fan and this product did not disappoint me! ^^

MUA Undress Me Too Palette Review

July has been a pretty hectic month for me so far, but at last I've had the chance to sit down and write this makeup review. I was talking my friend Mindy, another beauty blogger recently and she mentioned the MUA eyeshadow palettes, asking if I'd tried them. Until she brought it up and told me that they had good reviews I was completely unaware that they were worth looking at since I always walk straight past the MUA counter in Superdrug. The brand is so cheap over here I guess I just assume bad quality, but I was pleasantly surprised by these shadows ~ and at four pounds for twelve colours, you can't really afford not to give them a go!

First thing I noticed when I visited the counter was that there is a surprisingly wide range of colours and lots of palettes to choose from. However, the most hyped ones are the 'Undress Me' palette and the one I went for, the 'Undress Me Too'. I think drugstore brands must be running out of synonyms for the word naked. Anyway I only chose this one because I liked the colours more, but I'm going to return for sure and pick up the other version so I can have all the neutrals>.<

Like many palettes this one comes with a little sponge brush that I probably won't use but it looks pretty just in the bottom there. The packaging is pretty plain but I don't like the fact that this one is white (all the other MUA palettes were black) just because it's so easy to get dirty from excess eyeshadow. It's plastic so can be easily cleaned, I would just prefer not to have to clean it!

As you can see there's a mixture of matte and shimmer shades, as well as a selection of cool and warm tones. They all have names but I don't think I need to write them all out for you. The colours that caught my eye the most were the gold and copper metallic shade which look so gorgeous in the palette, here's a swatch of some of my favourites:

The pigmentation of the shimmer shades is quite shocking because they look so pretty. I'm less impressed by the matte shades, especially the lighter ones because they don't show up as much~ but I would have bought this just for that gold on my middle finger because it's amazing. But I've found in the past a beautiful swatch can sometimes still be mediocre on the eyes, so I've done a really quick and basic smoky eye using some of the colours. I wanted to do a nice tutorial but I thought this would be better than nothing even if it is messy haha.

I used a matte colour (shy) all over the lid, then a light brown metallic (wink) in the centre. I used the matte black shade (corrupt) on the outer corner and lashline, and finished with a dap of the gold shade I like (devotion) in the inner corner. My eyebrow is also filled in using an MUA eyebrow pencil that I picked up at the same time!

Overall I'd give the palette a 4/5

Battle of the BB Creams

When it comes to face makeup, I'm a total BB cream junkie. I have a few foundations but I only wear them on pretty special occasions~ this is primarily due to the fact that I love the easy application and skincare benefits that come with purchasing a good BB cream. The Korean ones in particular give a lot of Western foundations a run for their money when it comes to coverage, hence why I'm now a total convert and would never swap my precious BB's for a cheap foundation alternative from the drugstore.

I wanted to write this post to introduce you to some of my all time favourite BB creams, and hopefully break it down so you can find one that will suit your personal preferences. I haven't tried all the BB creams out there (yet) but I like to think I have a fair bit of experience with them, so hopefully this can be of use or just interest to you all. All the brands I've chosen are Korean, purely because I think they make much better skincare products than those you might find on the UK highstreet. I really hope you enjoy this post, let me know in the comments what your favourite BB cream (or foundation), because I'd love to know hehe^^

(These are just in alphabetical order by the way, not order of preference or anything). First up is the Etude House precious mineral bright fit BB cream, I use shade W13. You can usually purchase these for £8-£10, depending on the site. As with most Etude House products, the packaging is adorable, and is a much loved BB cream among many beauty bloggers, including myself!

Next, the Liole Beyond the Solution BB Cream. Unfortunately I have no idea what shade I have because I didn't purchase this myself and it doesn't seem to say on the product. It's a similar price to the Etude House one, with prices averaging around £10 online. There is very little English on the back, so I had to research this a little to find out it's claims and information>.< An important thing to note with this is there is no claim to have SPF, which some people prefer, but don't forget to wear sunscreen underneath this one!

This is the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream, which I'm using in NO.21. This is my most used BB cream at the moment, I've not had it for that long but I read so many good reviews about this~ I'm not sure why I didn't buy it myself before! The packaging is not the prettiest so that's probably why I wasn't drawn to it (bad I know haha) but don't let that fool you because the product inside is awesome! I also find this one to be a little cheaper, with prices starting at £5 and going up to around £8.

Finally this is the Skin79 Super+ Blemish Balm with triple functions~ again I don't know the shade, this one was a Christmas present^^ As you may have noticed this one doesn't come in a tube, which is different from all the others. This is good if you store your makeup standing up because it's so stable, but bad if like me you use drawers because it might not fit in! This one seems to be the most expensive one, prices are often upwards of £10, and I've seen some online stores selling it for around £20.

1. Coverage~ Depending on the season and condition of your skin, you might not necessarily be choosing the BB cream with the most coverage. For example, in summer, it is more detrimental to layer on heavy face makeup since your skin could get hot and cause your pores to open up and produce more sebum.

These swatches above are when I apply the BB cream over some super black gel eyeliner, no one has blemishes that dark but it's just to allow an easy comparison. From highest to lowest coverage, the ranking is as follows: Missha, Etude House, Liole, Skin79. However, as you might be able to see, the Skin79 and Missha creams have a much better brightening effect than the others.

2. Colour ~ What I mean by this is that like with foundations, different brands of BB cream have different undertones, that suit cooler or warmer toned skins. Contrary to what some people seem to think, this undertone does not change even if you use a darker/lighter shade. It's become accepted that cooler toned people should stick to yellow undertones, and warmer people to pink. But I've heard from some makeup artists like Pony, that yellow ones are better for everyone because they are more brightening and are less likely to age you.

From what I can tell, the Etude House and Missha creams have a very definite yellow undertone, though in the image above the Missha one looks a lighter, when on the skin you can detect the yellow tones. The Liole one is possibly a little more pink, but I don't find it to be a bad thing, even though I'm cool toned. However the biggest issue that myself and many other people have with the Skin79 BB cream is that it has a tendency to look a bit grey. Since it's light coverage I don't put enough on to notice it enough, but after a couple of layers the grey tones become more obvious~ so I suggest testing this one first to see if it looks ok on your skin!

3. Lasting power~ This is a factor that I'm sure many of you are curious about, since it's something that you have to see for yourself. Depending on the climate of the countries you are all living in, the other makeup you use in conjunction with BB creams and the sorts of everyday activities you do will greatly affect how long your makeup last, so I can only give you my personal experience with each product. To give you an idea, I live in the UK where it's currently supposed to be 'summer' but the weather fluctuates. I wore these for a full day at college where I didn't do anything too strenuous or out of the ordinary^^

I found that the longest lasting one when I got home was the Missha one, closely followed by the Liole (which kept my skin more matte in comparison with the others). The Etude House one had reasonable lasting power, but it definitely looked better in the morning! Skin79 was trailing behind again though, probably due to the low coverage.

Etude House - 9/10
Looks great on the skin, brightening, very affordable, cute packaging
Doesn't control oil very well, may not last all day with reapplication

Liole - 8/10
Affordable, good coverage for summer, stays matte the longest
No sun protection, not brightening, no English translation on the product

Missha - 9/10
Great coverage, brightens skin tone, very affordable, high SPF
Pretty boring packaging, prone to not lasting on hot days

Skin79 - 7/10
Lighter coverage, UV protection, unique packaging
Can have grey undertones, awkward shaped container, not very brightening
